HOW LONG SHOULD MY GRIPS LAST? HOW LONG SHOULD MY KNEE SLEEVES LAST?
Your grips should last 4 to 6 months dependent on intensity and volume of training. They may last longer. You have to consider that you are exerting a lot of force and friction on a piece of material that is around 2mm in thickness. Therefore; they are not indestructible despite our best efforts to make a durable product.
Your knee sleeves should last 6 months dependent on intensity and volume of training. Please keep in mind, you are squatting, lunging, snatching, etc in the sleeves and all that weight and force has to go somewhere.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 2 AND 3 HOLE GRIPS?
The choice between the 2 and 3 fingers comes down primarily to where your calluses are or where you rip. The 2 hole grips are worn on the middle finger and ring finger. For the 2 hole, the buckle should be on the outside of the wrist. The 3 hole grips are worn on the first three fingers normally. With that being said, you can wear them on the middle, ring, and pinky if that is preferred. These grips are to be worn so the cut out is by the thumb. Please note, the grips do not say R or L to indicate the hand, the L will indicate a size large if that is what size is ordered.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE LEATHER, CARBON, AND SUEDE LEATHER GRIPS?
Leather (tan or grey)- Great for Speal or raw steal bars. They break in like a baseball glove, better with sweat, chalk, and love.
Carbon (orange strap grips)- Perfect for powder coated or slick bars. Use these in competitions when you don’t know what kind of bar to expect.
Suede Leather- (black grip with either purple, green, or black strap)- Our thinnest grip, excellent on all bar types and hold chalk really well.
I AM RIGHT BETWEEN SIZES, WHAT DO I DO?
The grips are designed to fit true to size and still give sufficient fold to create the dowel effect. Let's say you are right at 4.5 inches in palm length you will do fine with a medium. However, there are two things to consider. If you prefer a larger fold than average, then size up. If you have very thick hands, sizing up would be recommended.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 5MM AND 7MM KNEE SLEEVES?
5mm and 7mm refer to the thickness of the knee sleeves. 5mm are a bit thinner and provide great support while being flexible for metcons and more movement. 7mm are our thickest knee sleeves and are perfect for heavy weights and movements. Think of PRing your back squat.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 4 inch AND 6 inch BELTS?
Both belts offer a supreme amount of support and compression. Typically, the 4 inch belts are approved for lifting events and sanctioned CrossFit competitions. If you are just working out at a gym and not competing, the 6 inch belt provides fantastic support. The 4 inch belt is better to be worn in a workouts while the 6 inch is for big lifts.
